South East Queensland’s Scenic Rim Wine Country starts just 15 minutes west of Ipswich, most of the area being just an hour’s drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. So close!
The Scenic Rim is one of the fastest growing wine tourism regions in Queensland, and its rich volcanic soils are producing premium wines which are making their mark on the state and national wine shows.
The South East Queensland (SEQ) climate allows a diverse range of grape varieties to be grown.
You’ll find dozens of wine varieties on offer, many of them award winners.
The cellar doors are filled with people passionate about enjoying Queensland wine in this glorious rural setting.
The Scenic Rim Wine Trail threads from one end of the area to the other, with five wineries along the trail.
Group tours are welcome, as are individual travellers looking for a get away from it all day trip.
See the Tours page for information on organised Scenic Rim winery tours.
